2/14- 11:30 to 1:30 . . . spinner card set… another installment in our spinner creations...this set features a family/home theme. We’ll also incorporate a couple winter month holidays as well. make 8-10 cards. Cost for this workshop: $25.00 (previous spinner class attendees) $60.00 1st time attendees (this price includes a $40.00 4x6 spinner w/ extra insert cards!)
2/14- 2:30 to 4:30 . . . clear view books…. our exclusive clear view class. We will create a beautiful mixed-media book using acrylic, chipboard and canvas pages. This book will have an open theme so you can use it for any occasion. Simply add your photos and journaling! We will be using our NEW 2009 paper lines and embellishments. Cost for this workshop: $40.00. ($20= book, $20= class).
2/21- 11:30 to 2:00. . . diminutive art shrines…these little works of art are so fun to create and even more fun to share! You will need to gather photos of you, family and/or friends (vintage images work nicely) also bring small trinkets, scraps, bits and pieces to use to decorate your shrine. (this is a must, not optional!!) we will construct a mini shadowboxish piece of art using many collage, layering and aging techniques. Check out this link for sample pics to get a true idea of how cool these projects are! Cost for this workshop: $30.00.
2/21- 2:30 to 5:30 . . . the original altered book. . . the word “altered” has taken on a whole new life in the paper crafting world. It has completely morphed to cover a multitude of art media. Well we are bringing back the original!! A “true” altered book is just that …an altered book! We will start with a classic vintage book and turn it in to a piece of art! We will share a variety of altering techniques to get you well on your way to complete your altered book over time. Basic paper art experience required. Cost for this workshop: $30.00
2/28- 11:30 to 2:00 . . . antique window frames….a fabulous piece for your home. you will want to make one for yourself and everyone on your gift list!! we'll take a vintage window panel, decorate and embellish with papers, photos, trinkets and keepsakes for a beautiful finished work of art. Cost for this workshop is $75.00. (price includes an antique window panel. **due to the nature of antiques…windows will vary. ) please bring 3-7 black and white or sepia toned photos to work with and have a color scheme in mind to match your home décor.
2/28- 2:30 to 6:00 . . . soldering basics…. learn how to solder your very own altered jewelry pieces! We’ll provide all you need to make a keepsake soldered necklace. No experience is necessary. We will show you how to cut glass, create collage design and solder it all together. Please bring gloves & safety glasses, you may also bring tiny personal art pieces, photos, papers for collage. Cost for this workshop is $40.00.
