March 2009 news and happenings…
workshop descriptions, dates and times . . .

3/7- 2:30 to 5:30. . . altered book home art…more with altered books… these little works of art are so fun to create and even more fun to share! We will craft 2 art pieces using old books. One is a hanging piece, the other a standing piece. We’ll incorporate a few of the techniques from our altered book workshop and a couple new surprises as well!! (These make super neato gifts without all the work of the altered books we made last month!!)
Cost for this workshop: $40.00.

3/14- 11:30 to 1:30 . . . spinner card set… another installment in our spinner creations. This time we are incorporating the NEW gypsy market paper and accessories. Card themes will be open ended to place on your spinner anywhere! We’ll craft 8-10 cards. Cost for this workshop: $25.00 (previous spinner class attendees) $65.00 1st time attendees (this price includes a $40.00 4x6 spinner w/ extra insert cards!)

3/14- 2:30 to 5:00 . . . clear view books…. our exclusive clear view class. We will create a beautiful mixed-media book using acrylic, chipboard and canvas pages. This book will have an open theme so you can use it for any occasion. Simply add your photos and journaling! We will be using our NEW 2009 paper lines and embellishments. Cost for this workshop: $40.00. ($20= book, $20= class).

3/21- 11:30 to 1:30 . . . layered books with display stand… everyone is loving these!! The perfect way to display your scrap artwork for the whole world to see! We’ll design a fabulously fun graduated layered board book, then we’ll show you how to hang it from a divinely classy stand for displaying!! The best thing about this project is that you can change your display anytime; make new books for the changing seasons, holidays or your family's special celebrations. Cost for this workshop is $35.00. (price includes the super classy stand!)

3/21- 2:30 to 5:30 . . . house and home books. . . .a lovely layered book featuring a “home” theme. The layers of this book include houses, trees and windows! A feast for the eyes, full of texture and dimension! Create this piece then fill with whatever you please….family photos, a big move or remodel, family gatherings, etc..
Cost for this workshop: $35.00.

3/28- 11:30 to 1:30...my top 10 book….. using the brand new, super neato 7 gypsies top ten board kits we’ll create a countdown book that you can add photos, journaling and keepsakes to track your own top 10 …whatever! “10 favorites”, “10 things I love about you”, “10 years and counting…”, think of a theme and simply add pics! Fun!! Cost for this workshop: $25.00.

3/28- 2:30 to 4:30...fancy purse keepsake book. . . another very fun kit project. Transform a plain chipboard purse/accordion book kit into the cutest keepsake! Make a fabulous memory of anything “girly”, make a great girlfriend gift, even makes for fancy home décor! Cost for this workshop: $25.00.

**please note: CLASS POLICY- pre-registration is required. A pre-paid/non-refundable registration fee of $10.00 per class is required upon sign-up. This fee will be applied to the class fee paid the day of class. If for any reason arts & scraps must cancel a workshop this registration fee will be reimbursed.
**all supplies are provided however a mini-class kit of your own may come in handy as many of our provided supplies are shared amongst the entire class. Suggested supplies to bring: your favorite adhesive, bone folder, paper trimmer, scissors, ink pads.
